The problem with new books is that they keep you from returning to old ones. You can get so busy trying tokeep up with what is coming out that you can forget what you've already read. And it's hard to convince yourself to go back and re-read 300 pages.
One trick: Create your own summaries when you finish reading a book you like. Underline passages as you read, and type up or photocopythose sections. You'll get a summary that's personalized to your needs and your business. It's easy to go back and re-read it, and you can also share theoutlines with other people in your company. They may not read 300 pages, but they'll certainly read your 10.
