Hot Tip: Reinforcing Teamwork
The Service Experts franchise in Orem, Utah, is part of a national company, and outstanding local performers are sometimes named to the national all-star team. In the past, says Clark Shurtz, CEO of the Orem franchise, one person's nomination to the team tended to demotivate everyone else. Even the superstars didn't always want to be singled out.
So Shurtz created an All for One and One for All system in which everyone gets rewards for hitting revenue targets -- and everyone wins a prize for each individual named to the national all-stars. "It's a little more team-friendly incentive," says Shurtz.
