Progressive (NYSE:PGR) (NYSE:PGR) is now offering small businesses in the trucking industry Cargo and General Liability insurance. The new coverage plans, now available in Colorado, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, will launch nationwide by the end of the year.

The Cargo plan includes up to $100,000 in coverage for damage or loss due to theft, fire, collision and hitting or running over cargo. General Liability coverage includes up to $1 million for each occurrence and $2 million aggregate coverage available for losses, including people slipping and falling next to a parked truck or a trucker causing damage at a customer's warehouse.

"We want to make our commercial customers' lives easier," Ken Bowman, at Progressive's Commercial Auto group, said in a statement. "Adding more coverages helps us do that."
