Scott A. Jones is a veteran entrepreneur, inventor, strategist, venture capitalist and co-founder of ChaCha, a leading and free real-time Q&A service. Through its “Ask a smart friend” platform, ChaCha has answered more than 2.5 billion questions from 45 million+ unique users per month via its website and iPhone App. At the age of 25, Jones co-founded Boston Technology, where he invented a massively scalable, easy-to-use voicemail system. Used by over two billion people around the world, it was later sold to Comverse for $843 million. Jones then co-founded Gracenote, the planet’s largest music meta-data service, which received more than 180 billion queries annually from iTunes and others.
