The latest restaurant from award-winning restaurateur Danny Meyer, this Roman-style trattoria is located just south of midtown in the Gramercy Park Hotel. Maialino has a coffee bar in front that transforms into a wine bar in the afternoon and evening. The warm, casual dining room has views of the kitchen and an authentic menu featuring classic Roman dishes such as spaghetti carbonera ($16) and fritto misto ($19). The restaurant, which can be boisterous at night, is better suited for business lunches. Reservations are recommended.
