The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Roof Garden Café is a peaceful respite overlooking Central Park where you can enjoy gourmet sandwiches and beer, wine, or cocktails amid revolving exhibits by artists such as Roy Lichtenstein. This summer, you can dine al fresco amid a bamboo installation by up-and-coming artists Doug and Mike Starn. Hours: Open seasonally, from May to late fall; Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
