I'm a small business owner that created the only online publication focusing on the sport of snowshoeing: Snowshoe Magazine (www.snowshoemag.com). I've been trying to get the business off the ground for the past seven years. Recently, I experienced record-breaking traffic for my website. Although I did publish one print edition in the past, the online version is growing so fast that my readers are demanding another print edition. I also need a feature-rich website, which will require a complete overhaul of what I have already: www.snowshoemag.com. My vision for the future also includes introducing other online magazines that focus on niche sports, such as longboarding and nordic walking. The productivity challenges I'm facing are pretty simple: Better communication with my writers/editors and a more streamlined business plan. The other more obvious challenge is to take the company to the next level, as a full-time gig. That's easier said than done. But it can be done! Because my company depends on technology, I need the best that's available. I have a team of writers/editors that are spread out all over the world. I need something that will offer my business an entirely new generation of productivity tools. I am growing, but I'm also losing some of my best writers/editors because I can't keep up with all the changes and additions. My days are dominated by Snowshoe Magazine. I don't regret any decision or moment throughout the history of my startup - as quirky as it is.
