Feb. 15, 2007 -- The Go Daddy Group, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based domain registration and Web-hosting firm, announced Thursday that it will open a new 75,000 square foot call center and development shop in nearby Tempe, Ariz., that will eventually employ more than 300 workers.

"The expansion is part of a growth spurt that could bring the 1,340-employee company up to 1,900 employees by the end of 2007," Bob Parsons, the company's CEO, said in a statement. Go Daddy currently has offices in both Gilbert and Phoenix, which also offer have room for expansion.

The Go Daddy Group, which is perhaps best known for its racy Super Bowl commercials, has been on the Inc. 500 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies three times. Most recently, it ranked No. 137 in 2006.
