Robert Danielson created the first and only pressroom chemical manufacturing company dedicated solely to developing products that offset petroleum usage, preserve natural resources, reduce global warming, energy costs, pollution and eliminate hazardous waste streams.
An innovator and entrepreneur by nature, Robert founded Amerikal Products Corporation in 1989 because he wanted to create a safer work environment for pressroom employees. Even though, he could have pursued an easier or more financially rewarding path, he never wavered on his commitment to pressroom safety.
Worldwide, the printing industry relies heavily on petroleum based products that generate a significant amount of VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compound), HAP’s (Hazardous Air Pollutants) and waste streams classified as “hazardous.” Amerikal’s environmentally responsible line of pressroom chemistry called Genesis®, dramatically reduces or eliminates these harmful chemicals while offsetting millions of gallons of petroleum each year.
Currently, more than 900 printers worldwide are utilizing Genesis® to print and package items for Fortune 500 companies such as Kraft, Coca-Cola, General Mills and Abbott Laboratories.
Thanks to Robert’s vision, millions of consumable products are now printed each day using environmentally responsible pressroom chemistry. His leadership has positively impacted one of the world’s oldest and largest industries. Printing is a $161 billion industry and Amerikal has been instrumental in the transition to sustainable print and packaging.

I have worked with Amerikal and Mr. Danielson for several years now and this article is right on. Mr. Danielson and Amerikal have played a major role in assiting our pressroom in reduce the VOC's we emitted by 82%.
