Dr. Sakezles started Animal Replacement Technologies in 2005 to develop sophisticated synthetic human body parts for the medical device industry. After only two years, the company's patented products are already being used by Fortune 500 manufacturers such as Johnson and Johnson, Cook Group, and others to reduce or eliminate the need for live animal studies. The company's products are also now also being used by hospitals in surgical training programs, by universities in basic medical education, and by the U.S. military to help develop advanced armor and weapons systems.

Dr. Sakezles developed all of the underlying intellectual property for this technology, designed and built all of the initial models, and continues to direct day-to-day company operations. The company has exported product to Europe and Japan, and recently received an innovation award from the U.S. Department of Commerce.

I believe Dr. Sakezles deserves to be "Entreprenuer of the Year", because at the young age of 34, this remarkable inventor has a stranglehold on this technology. His company will not only grow by leaps and bounds, but will help save lives - both human and animal. A one of a kind company with a one of a kind man at the helm.
