Josh Linkner is the CEO and managing partner of Detroit Venture Partners. Together with business partners Earvin “Magic”Johnson and NBA team owner Dan Gilbert, he is actively rebuilding urban areas through technology and entrepreneurship. Linkner is also Adjunct Professor of Applied Creativity at the University of Michigan and is the founder, chairman and former CEO of ePrize, the largest interactive promotion agency in the world providing digital marketing services for 74 of the top 100 brands. He has been honored as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and is a President Barack Obama Champion of Change award recipient. He is a regular columnist for Inc. Magazine, and his work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, USA Today, and The New York Times. Most importantly, Josh is on a mission to make the world more creative.
Ann Handley is a veteran of creating and managing digital content to build relationships for organizations and individuals. Ann is co-author of the best-selling Content Rules: How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts, Videos, Ebooks, Webinars (and More) That Engage Customers and Ignite Your Business, now out in paperback from Wiley.
Phil Busey is the Founder and CEO of the Busey Group of Companies and Delaware Resource Group (DRG). Busey Group was founded in 2000 and DRG in 2002. Under his leadership both companies have experienced 4,000 percent growth in 10 years becoming a recognized leader in the defense training market. Today DRG employs over 700 employees at 42 locations around the world. DRG and Busey Group were first named to the Inc. 500 list in 2005 and have made the Inc. 500|5000 list every year since. In 2010, the U.S. SBA named Busey Oklahoma businessperson of the year. He was born and raised in Oklahoma and has been married over 30 years and has three grown children and two grandchildren.
Eric Markowitz is senior reporter for Inc., where he writes about start-ups, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and issues that affect small business. Since joining the magazine in 2010, he’s written features on a range of subjects, from the start-up boom in Nebraska to the rebirth of American manufacturing. Previously, he interned in the editorial department of Vanity Fair. Eric graduated, cum laude, from New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. He lives in New York City.
