Why it's growing:
The exclusively online retailer takes advantage of its medium by providing free learning tools to its patrons, including product videos, blogs and articles researched and written by two full-time staff writers; sometimes they even build separate sites on specific topics, like tomato growing. "Everybody wins," CEO Lars Hundley says. "They get free, good information about growing tomatoes, and we get more customers."

What's noteworthy:
Hundley's company's first product was a German brand of push lawn mower, and now it is the only importer and distributor of that mower in the United States.
