Why it's growing:
Segue started out with just one big client--the Air Force. The company won a contract to develop solutions for an Air Force manpower system. From there, "it had a snowball effect," says CEO Brian Callahan. The company then teamed with the Marine Corps and forged relationships with other DOD clients. Segue now draws 90% of its revenue from the federal government.

Other government clients include NASA and the Defense Logistics Agency.
