SeekingSitters is an on-demand babysitter referral service. Families sign up online, place a request, and are sent a contract professional sitter that the company has interviewed and background-screened for previous childcare experience, personal and business references, and identity and education verification as well checked against local and national sex offender and criminal records. All sitters must be at least 18 and certified in CPR and general first aid. For its sitters' safety, SeekingSitters also screens the families. The company has hundreds of franchises in 18 states.
