Would you let your employees shop online while on the job? Looks like many employers already do.
Only 33% said their companies block access to online shopping sites, down from 60% last year.
The survey also found that 10% of respondents allow unrestricted access, while 55% allow online shopping but monitor activity for excessive use.
"Many businesses acknowledge the need for flexibility during the hectic holiday season and allow some online shopping at work, within reason," said RHT senior executive director John Reed in a statement.
To employees who shop online at the office, RHT suggests they look up their company's policy (including sites or hours to avoid) and be wary of clicking on websites with viruses or malware that could infect their company's network.
