
CONTEST RULES
How to Enter/Eligibility: To be considered for Inc.com's "Best Lemonade Stand in America Contest" Grand Prize, Second Prize or Third Prize, entries must be received between 12:01 AM (ET) July 1, 2006, and 11:59 PM (ET) July 30, 2006.
Entries received between 12:00 AM (ET) July 31, 2006, and 11:59 PM (ET) August 31, 2006, will be considered for our "Lemonade Stand of the Week" portion of our contest, and will not be eligible for the Grand Prize, Second Prize, and/or Third Prize portion of our contest.
Enter by visiting http://www.inc.com/lemonade (the "Web Site"), and completing and submitting the entry form, including the answers to a series of questions about entrants' childs' experiences in starting and running a lemonade stand. Parents and legal guardians of children between the ages of 5 and 12 may enter the contest. Entries must be submitted in the English language. Answers to each question must not exceed 100 words. Entrants must also submit a digital image of the lemonade stand. One entry per e-mail address/person. Only entries submitted electronically to the Web site in accordance with these rules will be eligible for consideration. Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States, except employees of Mansueto Ventures LLC ("Mansueto") ("Sponsor"), its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, its advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate families of the foregoing employees. Entries must be original to entrant and not be submitted to or published by any website or any publication. Each entry may be published in any medium by Mansueto or editorial-content partners of Mansueto without additional compensation to winner. Entries cannot be acknowledged and become the property of Mansueto upon receipt. Submission of entry constitutes permission for Mansueto to post entrants'submission on line, for Mansueto to use entrant's submitted information for purposes of marketing and promotion; provided, however, that the last names and street addresses of entrants will not be provided to third parties or published by Mansueto on Inc.com or elsewhere. Mansueto may use first names, city and state to promote the entries. Each winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/publicity, grant of rights and liability release to be returned within ten (10) days from the date it was sent, or another winner may be selected.
Selection of Winners: From all eligible entries received, the editorial staff of Inc.com and the readers of Inc.com, who will be able to view and comment on entries during the Contest period, will contribute to the selection of winners. Final decisions will be made by the Inc.com staff, whose decisions are final in all matters. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen based upon criteria such as creativity in design of the lemonade stand, interesting story(ies) in the essay, and overall excellence in running the stand. Two (2) runners up will be chosen based upon "Best Lemonade Stand Design" (most aesthetically pleasing) and and "Coolest Story About a Lemonade Stand" (based on answers to all questions collectively). Winner(s) and their children must be available for a national television appearance in New York City on or about August 15, 2006, or an alternate winner(s) will be chosen.
During the full duration of the contest, 12:01 AM (ET) July 1, 2006, through 11:59 PM (ET) August 31, 2006, entrants will also be considered for feature in the Lemonade Stand of the Week. One entrant a week will be chosen and will receive an Inc.com t-shirt.
Winner Notification: Winners of the Grand Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize will be notified by phone or email on or around August 1, 2006.
Winners of the Lemonade Stand of the Week will be notified each week as they are chosen.
Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be awarded a $1000 savings bond, which will be issued to the child who ran the lemonade stand, the opportunity to appear on a nationally televised TV program, and two round-trip tickets to New York, with hotel accommodations (double occupancy), ground transportation to/from airport/hotel (total retail value of Grand Prize is $2,000). A $200 stipend will be paid to winner. Grand Prize package does not include meals, taxes, insurance, telephone charges, personal expenses, gratuities, incidental charges, or any other items not specifically described in these Official Rules. All expenses for any of the foregoing are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. The actual retail value ("ARV") of the travel prize may vary depending upon the point of departure and fare fluctuation. Grand Prize Winner and child must travel together on the itinerary and must possess valid ID in order to travel. No extension or change of trip dates permitted. Trip is subject to air/ground travel availability, hotel availability, and all other prize and travel restrictions, as applicable. Grand Prize Winner must sign and return a Release of Liability/Publicity Release (where legal) prior to the issuance of travel documents. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. No transfer, substitution or cash equivalent for any prizes will be permitted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. In the event the closest airport to the Grand Prize winner's home is the destination city, prize will not include air transportation and no other substitution or compensation will be provided. If, for any reason, a portion of the Grand Prize cannot take place as planned for any reason beyond the control of the Sponsor, then the remaining components of the Grand Prize shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsor's prize obligation to the Grand Prize winner, and no additional compensation will be awarded.
