Did you name your lemonade stand? If yes, please let us know what you called it. If not, please go on to the next question.

No, but the race we are doing in September already has a name so we called it the "Race Against the Sun" Lemonade Stand.

How did you build your lemonade stand? (Don't forget to let us know what materials you used and how you came up with the idea!)

We had the whole neighborhood involved in this lemonade stand so one man in the neighborhood built it out of wood and nails. When the adults of our neighborhood decided to do a 5K race in September to raise money for Melanoma research the children wanted to get involved so I thought we could do a lemonade stand to also raise money for Melanoma research. My neighbor, Jessica Coleman has been battling Stage 4 Melanoma for 3 years.

What does your lemonade stand look like? (Describe what it looks like and why you designed it the way you did, talking about the size of your stand and any extra special signs you created to promote it!)

It is wooden with "LEMONADE" written on the top. We put balloons on it and we made signs to sign up for "The Race Against the Sun" and we made a sign telling the cost of lemonade and cookies and where the money would go to.(St.Lukes Cancer Center)We also put signs and balloons around the neighborhood. We made it big so we could fit many children behind it.

How did you choose the lemonade recipe and how did you make your lemonade?

We used "Country Time" lemonade powder and mix in water and ice so the lemonade had the perfect blend of sweet and sour. We made sugar cookies and brownies also to sell. Everything we sold was 50 cents each. We sold over 10 gallons of lemonade that day.

How much money did you make this weekend?

We made $4,235 to send to St. Lukes Cancer Center. I passed out flyers to all the neighbors and our neighbor e-mailed many people about this lemonade stand. We also had Ed Hanna our local meteorologist from Channel 69 news come and interview Jessica Coleman, who is my neighbor and has Melanoma, and I at the stand. He helped us alot because people saw it on TV so they came helping us to raise more money.
