Entrepreneurs Leaving Money on the Table
In its continuing mission to bring high quality insight and intelligence to business owners in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Inc. magazine's Business Owners Council has released a new research report for business owners. According to this report, High and Dry: The Retirement Plan Disconnect, sponsored by Rothstein Kass and Herald National Bank, business owners are failing to take full advantage of tax savings available to them.
Surveyors Russ Alan Prince and Hannah Shaw Grove spoke with more than 1,400 business owners nationwide and discovered that dissatisfaction with retirement plans--for themselves and for their employees--was widespread.
"More than three-quarters of the owners we surveyed believe current retirement plans provide little personal benefit to them. But many believe that regulatory changes are coming soon," said Prince. The report goes on to introduce new retirement savings ideas, along with case studies from experts.
