Gracie Mansion, Site of the New York City Neighborhood Achievement Awards

Every year, the annual Neighborhood Achievement Awards celebrates great entrepreneurial talent in New York City. 

I had the privilege of attending last year's event on a warm summer day on the lawn of the beautiful Gracie Mansion. With burgers and lemonade being served, the Mayor acknowledged the accomplishments of some wonderful entrepreneurs from all five boroughs.

Headed by Robert Walsh, commissioner of Small Business Services for New York City and a great friend to Inc., these awards are now open for nominations and applications. The awards are given out for a variety of criteria, ranging from impact on green business to workforce innovation.
