The Inc. 100: We Missed A Trio Of Winners
I was disappointed to find that we were not included in the INC. 100. Our company has been incorporated since 1972 and our stock is publicly traded. We anticipate our growth to continue at a pace that will put us on your list for years to come. Most of this growth will come through computer and broadcast/videotape related fields.
INC. apologizes for the oversights. Movie Systems, which reported a limited operating history in its December 1980 prospectus, was actually founded in 1975. It generated a sales increase of almost 98,000% in the five-year period from 1976 to 1980. Revenues at Chemical Investors, which was founded in 1976, soared more than 50,000% in the same period. These growth rates would make them 3rd and 4th, respectively, in a revised ranking of the 1981 INC. 100. With a sales leap of 557% (to $2.4 million in 1980), Miller Technology would have ranked 93rd in INC.'s annual list of fastest-growing smaller public companies.
