Rhode Island Sees Red
It is our understanding that the ranking of Rhode Island in the readers' report card on the states ("Readers Rate Their Own States," February) is based on six responses out of 22,000 Rhode Island small businesses. This does not appear to be anywhere near a statistically valid sample of our state's small business climate.
We in Rhode Island have worked hard over the past three years in conjunction with state government to improve the business climate. INC. should review our state's small business in depth and report a true picture of our situation.
