Inc. 100 Eclipses American Solar King
I enclose our 1981 annual report. I believe we do belong on your list of INC. 100 companies (May). Over the past five years, we have experienced a growth rate in excess of 700%. We have also had an annual rate of growth of approximately 68 1/2%. The company went public on January 17, 1980.

In paring a universe of more than 11,000 public companies to 100, INC. overlooked one. We apologize to American Solar King, Waco-based manufacturer of solar collectors and components. With a five-year sales jump of 708% (to $5 million in 1981), the company would hae ranked 91st on INC.'s annual list of the 100 fast-est-growing smaller public companies.
