In "Taxing Matters" (Financial Tactics, October), the last paragraph tells readers to "write to one of the national accounting firms" if they would like more information about the new tax law. For a magazine that professes to be directed to small and medium-size companies to imply that only national accounting firms are competent to deal with the new tax law is hypocritical.

Every certified public accountant in the nation has been flooded with information about the law, and all competent CPAs have read about it and/or have gone to seminars pertaining to it. Better advice to your readers would be: For more information concerning the new tax law, contact your CPA, and if you don't have one, now is the time to get one.
