Rare coins are no more confusing or erratic than any other investment ("All that Glitters," Personal Portfolio, November 1985). Talk to five different stockbrokers, and you get five different opinions. Talk to five different financial planners, and you get five different opinions. Responsible investing in any field, including rare coins, requires sensible planning and some basic research. In any investment, caveat emptor still rules: "let the buyer beware."
