Think Twice About Following The Leader
Jack Falvey, like so many consultants, doesn't actually practice what he preaches ("Follow the Leader," Marketing, July). We are the value-added direct marketer to libraries for his new book. We include his title in our telemarketing (a Falvey no-no), take orders for the book on our 800 line (another no-no), and process the orders on our computer (another no-no) so we can send checks to Falvey's publisher. Like most advice, Falvey's shouldn't be taken too literally.
