Sales Motivation;

You say your salespeople have a hard time getting revved up for that first Monday-morning call? You say they aren't aggressive enough on the phone? Maybe they could use a boost from Breakthrough, a new software program that flashes selling tips, inspirational messages, and "dynamic words" on a microcomputer screen as fast as once every 0.01 seconds. Just imagine the kind of sales figures your people will chalk up with such words as "exciting," "fabulous," and "unique," and such phrases as "Be proud to sell" bombarding them all day long.

Breakthrough is the creation of Profit Technology Inc., a New York City software company that went public in 1984. Not coincidentally, one of its most enthusiastic proponents is Michael Markowski, a senior vice-president at D.H. Blair & Co., the company's principal underwriter. Markowski has been using Breakthrough for about six months. "My sales have gone up several hundred percent," he claims. Willy Loman never had it so good.
