Kid Care

When corporations think about helping their employees with child care, an on-site center always seems to come up first. I liked "Kid Stuff" (Benefits, September) because it showed all the options a company can choose from to provide child-care benefits.

Family day care is best for infants and toddlers, and also the most accommodating for after-school care. Providing company benefits that allow a parent to use a family day-care home of his or her choice and convenience will be far more productive and less costly than considering an on-site center.
