New business provides mobile cleaning service for hospital equipment.

Low-power ultrasonic waves have long been used to clean jewelry. Now, a Weston, Mass., company is applying the technique to something bigger: hospital equipment. Sonicscrub is a mobile hospital-equipment cleaning service with tanks large enough to dunk stretchers, wheelchairs, and I-V poles. Customers say that the cleaning process is faster and more thorough than other methods.
