Supplier competes with bears for her raw materials, berries.

So you think you have problems with suppliers. Consider Louise Sevier of Spokane, Wash. She has to worry about her raw materials getting eaten by bears. Her product: the Wilds of Idaho line of huckleberry pie fillings, ice-cream base, toppings, and jams. "The real secret of this business is knowing where and when to find the berries," she says, noting that the bears eat all they can find. "I'd really rather not talk about how we do it." Hey, there's no telling how many bears might read this.
