An inventor has developed a combination freezer, fridge, and microwave that draws no more than nine amps of power.
Many universities ban kitchen appliances from dorm rooms because of the energy draw and the liability exposure, but students often sneak them in anyway. Robert Bennett came up with a combination freezer/ fridge/microwave that draws no more than nine amps. MicroFridge, of Sharon, Mass., is marketing the units to hotel chains and office complexes, as well as universities. Manufacturing is contracted out to Sanyo E & E.
