Company creates computers that continually back-up data.

Most computer-backup systems protect users against crashes by periodically copying data. Now, a Pittsburgh company has come up with a process for doing that continuously. Funded by about $2.5 million in venture capital, Vortex Systems offers hardware that can be used for archiving as well as for protecting data.
