Dow Scoggins figured there'd be a market for beer named after Helen, Ga., an Appalachian Mountain town that gets visitors galore each Oktoberfest. But not only were town officials enthusiastic about the beer called Helenboch (as in "gone to"), they found Scoggins a developer who'd customize a space and offer lower rents so he'd locate Friends Brewing Co. there instead of Atlanta.
