Who's the customer for a product said to extend engine life by half? Lubrication Research initially is targeting car owners via direct mail. The Carlsbad, Calif., company hopes for big accounts, however, from the military -- which wants to pamper its vehicles -- and a manufacturer of truck engines, to sell in its aftermarket network. Both are testing the engine prelube device.
