International joint venture builds apartments for visiting American executives in Moscow.

 

As glasnost brings more international businesses to Moscow, many visiting executives are requesting housing that feels like home. So a U.S. law firm and U.S. construction company have joined with a Soviet farm collective to build American-style garden apartments for lease to corporations. With bookings from the likes of Du Pont and Johnson & Johnson, the Rosinka project is breaking ground this summer.
