One Plus One Is Three

Start-up does contract product development work for manufacturers.

 

The premise is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Polymer Solutions, in Worthington, Ohio, does contract product development for manufacturers; it was formed by two big companies, GE Plastics and the design firm Fitch Richardson-Smith. As a so-called company without walls, it draws ad hoc teams from both parents for each assignment, touting fast turn-around time.
