The Rights Stuff

Licensing specific versions of a product to manufacturers to turn a new product into a company.

 

One way to turn a product into a company is to license specific versions of it to different manufacturers. That's what a New York City inventor has done since creating Polygonzo the Sculpture Toy. A toy company has rights to it in plastic, and a gift company can make certain metal versions. Rights for silver and gold editions, along with Polygonzo jewelry, are being shopped around.
