New business opens quick-serve emissions testing and repair centers.

The next frontier for drive-in services? Pollution control, according to venture-backed Smog Busters in Sacramento. Trading on tougher clean-air standards in California, CEO Cal Lusk has opened three quick-serve emissions testing and repair centers in northern California. Four more are on the way. Lusk predicts business will get better as air quality gets worse and more states adopt stringent auto-emissions standards.
