Using Their Noodles
New business that customizes shoes, lamps, spectacles, art objects, clothing, etc. with macaroni.
What's in a name? No confusion, to be sure, for the customers of two Houston entrepreneurs who decided to call their business exactly as they saw it: Two Guys Who Glue Macaroni on Things. Bob Pine and Brian Woodward are turning some bad memories from summer camp into a unique business customizing shoes, lamps, spectacles, art objects, clothing, car parts -- anything but cats and body parts -- with, you guessed it, macaroni. Strictly elbow (although they dabble in ziti). Paid for by the hour or by the object, their creations can fetch as much as $75. The two, who began working art openings, charity benefits, and parties, now publish a 24-page catalog.
