How much you pay for your company's health-insurance benefits depends a great deal on where your company is located, according to a survey of insurance rates conducted by Milliman & Robertson, a New York City actuarial firm. The survey found wide disparities among insurance costs in the 400 largest U.S. metropolitan areas, with cities in California and Florida being the hardest hit. The national average cost for health-insurance benefits is $365 per worker per month.
