Joline Godfrey, the author of Our Wildest Dreams (see FYI, March 1992, [Article link]), has launched a new company called An Income of Her Own. The business: entrepreneurial-education programs for teenage girls. In addition to one-day conferences and a summer camp, An Income of Her Own is sponsoring the first annual Business-Plan Competition for Teen Women, in conjunction with Inc. and Sassy magazines. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, and winners will be flown to an awards ceremony in San Francisco in November. If you want to give your daughter a head start in the New Economy, or if you just can't bear the prospect of another summer with a teenager moping around the house, call 800-350-2978 for details about Godfrey's programs.
