The Cost of Training New Salespeople

Survey shows small companies spend more time and money training new sales hires than they did two years ago.

Companies with yearly revenues of less than $5 million are spending more money and time training new sales hires -- about $5,530 and four months per rep -- than they were two years ago. But overall, the annual cost of training a new salesperson hasn't changed much; it's still about $6,000.
