Honoring Entrepreneurship
A Denver group hopes to open the National Museum of Entrepreneurship and make it an educational center.
Speaking of good ideas, we've been following the efforts of a Denver group to create the National Museum of Entrepreneurship in the old Union Pacific headquarters. The project is the brainchild of John Hickenlooper, founder of the Wynkoop Brewing Co. He hopes to make the museum an educational center. The reaction of the local press has been predictably dim-witted. A recent article in the Rocky Mountain News said the museum "would honor the get-rich-quick men and women who made America great -- or at least rich." If the museum proposal is approved, perhaps Hickenlooper should include a course designed to address economic illiteracy among members of the media.
