Resource: Bloody Meetings II
A quick review of John Cleese's new training video, "More Bloody Meetings," and licensing information.
More Bloody Meetings, the sequel video to Meetings, Bloody Meetings, brings John Cleese back as a bungling manager who has a nightmare in which he's hauled into court on charges of "grievous mismanagement of meetings." This time he's accused of neglecting the human side of meetings.
The dumbfounded Cleese, plagued by flashbacks of a meeting run amok, confronts his offenses: failure to control aggression, negligent steering, and allowing the suppression of vital information and the repression of important ideas. He's exhorted to follow the three laws of meetings: Unite the group; focus the group; and mobilize the group. A testy judge tells him how, and then sends him back to bed, repentant and supposedly reformed. Funny? You bet. And the advice is sound.
To preview both 30-minute videos for $50, contact Video Arts at 800-553-0091. The one- to five-day rental price for each video is $250, and the long-term-license purchase price is $870.
