The authors make a strong case that ignoring or scorning gay issues isn't just bad for your employees, it's bad for business. They discuss how and why your gay employees should be included in any general diversity program, the particulars of domestic-partnership benefits for unmarried couples, and HIV/AIDS policies in the workplace. You'll also learn what other companies, such as AT&T, the Walt Disney Co., Lotus, and Polaroid, are doing to combat homophobia.

On the same subject, Brian McNaught's Gay Issues in the Workplace (St. Martin's, 1993, $10.95), is also well worth your time, as is his highly accessible video Homophobia in the Workplace, designed for company workshops (available through Excellence in Training, 800-747-6569, $35 for a preview; $195 for rental).
