An electronics manufacturer explains how his company is using postcards to cut his company's mass-mailing budget.
You want to send out a newsletter, but you're tied to a shoestring budget? Duane Jones of Storm Products, an electronics manufacturer in Phoenix, sends out 500 postcard newsletters a month. He pays $10 per 100 for printing and $100 to a freelance writer, R.W. Westenberg & Co., in Sedona, Ariz. Using postcards saves him 20¢ per piece on postage. "It's a lot of bang for the buck," says Jones, who has seen a number of his mailers pinned to customers' walls.
