Benchmark: Small Business Snubs the Net

A look at some results from a recent survey that suggests small businesses are slow to embrace the Internet.

Small business has a reputation for moving quickly and taking risks. But according to a survey by O'Reilly & Associates, large companies are more likely to be riding the Internet wave. And it's not just the Web we're talking about here. The 1,030 businesses surveyed were asked if they had E-mail access also. Internet connections were far more common among large companies than among small ones.
