Looking for on-line information from the federal government? Two central sources have links to most U.S. government Web sites and Web servers: FedWorld and The Federal Web Locator. You can also go directly to sites popular with business users, such as Stat-USA, which posts information on government-procurement opportunities; the U.S. Department of Commerce; the U.S. Census Bureau; and the Patent and Trademark Office. If your industry is eagerly awaiting the results of pending legislation, you can track the progress of bills and resolutions through Thomas.
