On-campus recruiting isn't just for big companies. When Lloyd Shefsky, a founding partner of Shefsky, Froelich, & Devine, needed young hires to grow his Chicago-based law firm, he called his alma mater and offered to be a guest lecturer at his former law professors' classes. The professors agreed. Soon Shefsky was making the rounds at other law schools. Once his firm became known on campuses, he found it easier to recruit top students.
