"When my husband and I moved back to my family's farm in Tchula, Mississippi, I never imagined a prospect of employment. My house is 17 miles from a gallon of milk. Then I got a call from Fred Carl. We talked, and I made him a little gingerbread Viking Range for Christmas. He must have thought, 'Here's this cooking kook, we got to do something with her!'
