Home Entertainment: Television, Meet Internet
Cristian Turdera
The best video content on the Web will soon be available on your television -- and you don't need an external device like the Slingbox or TiVo to watch it. This spring, LG will start shipping the 42-inch and 47-inch LH50 series LCD televisions with NetCast Entertainment Access. Just plug an Ethernet cable into the back of the TV, and a world of options will be at your fingertips, including Netflix and YouTube -- plus news, stocks, photos on Flickr, and weather information, thanks to the new TV widgets from Yahoo!. Pricing information on the new televisions was not available at presstime.
